S 2386, Section 502: Domestic Military Spying
S 2386, The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2005, is currently being considered in the Senate. Section 502, DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE EXEMPTION FROM CERTAIN PRIVACY ACT REQUIREMENTS will if passed eliminate crucial protections US citizens have from the establishment of a military secret police apparatus in the US.
