"... it’s important when we talk of repression always to pair it with resistance. As we pile up the evidence of consolidated state power we must remember that a part of what has happened since 9/11 includes 2/15 —- that is February 15 of this year, when as many as ten million people around the world simultaneously joined to cry out against U.S. imperialism."

-- Bernardine Dohrn

"... In the opening years of the new Millennium, humanity is being challenged to make fundamental changes -- changes that are perhaps as great as the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly."

-- Norie Huddle

SpeakOut!

http://icujp.org/speakOut.shtml

ICUJP frequently hears from visiting activists at our weekly Friday Morning Meetings. These courageous and well-informed friends seek the support of our community.

icujp.org has launched the SpeakOut page to give you a way to email letters of concern to officials, and to give you links to petitions, materials to download and background information.

Here are the issues you'll find right now:

Don't Let California Go Blind to Injustice: Vote NO on Prop 54
Voices in the Wilderness: Prosecuted Are the Peacemakers

The presence has brought many new faces to the ICUJP table, and is a firm reminder to all that the community which speaks for justice and peace is committed to honor the words of the spirtitual...
